How can I teach someone the basics of special effects makeup and how it works through a website?
-
With my 20 percent time, I designed a website that teaches people all about the basics of special effects makeup and how it really works.
-
I demonstrated all of my learning throughout my website. There is something to be learned on each page.
-
The first step in creating my project was to research I researched all about sfx. Next, I started creating some of the wounds with sfx and taking pictures to put onto the website. The last step was to put all the research into the website and make it look nice with design.
-
I felt a lot of success in my product when looking at it completely done because all of the wounds looked realistic and they fit together.
-
An obstacle I faced while making my website was that sometimes the text and images I would put onto the website wouldn't fit in quite right.
-
I overcame this obstacle by being flexible and trying many different possible formats and seeing which ones worked the best.

-
A website about sfx is the result of the 20 percent class time I spent working on my project.
-
I looked for three things in my research, 1) How to do certain wounds with special effects, 2) How some wounds are really created, 3) And how special effects tricks our brains into thinking the wounds are real.
-
I organized all of this information into a word document and copied/pased the source under the information so I could go back for more if I needed to.
-
Some of those sources were...

I'm sure other people have answered this question before. However, I still thought it would be fun for me to answer the question for myself.
-
I had success in my research when I was looking for how the wounds were really created because there weren't many challenges.
-
I also faced a major obstacle when researching how sfx tricks us because all of the reliable sources I found were very complex and were meant for college students, so I didn't understand them at all. I had to work harder to find good information that was still reliable.
-
I overcame this obstacle when I found some good sources like...
