Creativity is originality and outside of the box thinking. New ideas must be creative to thrive. Creativeness has a lot to do with expressing yourself and your style. STEM emphasizes this quality because at STEM there is a really supportive and accepting environment. They want you to be creative and be you so that everything you do allows people to see you and accept you for you. Really the portfolio has been a way for me to show creativity because you start with a template and you completely change it and make it all you with colors and fonts and design and backgrounds and quotes and pictures the entire thing is yours to decide how it looks. Because you decide how it looks, it’s a perfect representation of you using creativity because it’s original, you didn’t take it from someone else.
