Communication

Oxford University Press 2015

Communication is anything that gets an idea from someone’s brain, to another person’s brain. Speaking, writing, pictures, videos, movies, TV shows, social media, sign language, braille, books, music. Communication is emphasized at STEM because it is important for students to learn how to use it effectively because in the real world we have to, it’s a big idea of the world. That’s what STEM teaches also, the real world starts here, right. In STEM Foundations, Language Arts, and Wellness we had to write and illustrate a book for children as a way to communicate to them different skills like, effective communication, refusal skills and conflict resolution. We wrote about effective communication so in writing about it, trying to teach it to others, we too learned about it.
